Need some help on finding out what a 60 is worth. I saw a brass tag on the right side of the tractor I assume it is the ser #. It is 6062854. It is a narrow front with decent rubber all around. Paint is faded but tin is perfect. It has an original JD three point. The only thing I can see is the hand clutch is stuck. it also has power steering and two row cultivators. It is for a freind of mine that needs to move it asap and he wants to get a fair price but not ask too much.

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean somebody is trying to sell the tractor that was left to them in a will? Or is it "hot"?

There are usually scads of 60s on the Photo Ads on here. Compare it to similar tractors to get an average "value", although "value" is entirely subjective. The Deere hitch helps it out quite a bit, as a complete hitch alone in good condition can go for anywhere from $500 on up. Power-steering is also a bonus. Cultivators may or may not add to the value, and may be better sold separately. The good tin helps, but the clutch problem may hurt it some, although it's possibly not a serious problem. Were it mine, I don't think I'd think about taking less than $1750 for it, and the right buyer might go $2000 to $2500.
