ok here is the story i was at a tractor pull with my John deere 80 it did just fine untill we put it on the trailer and the right rear tire blew out.... well now its home and we would like the biggest tire we can get with out changing rim... the tire before was an 18.4-34.... the tire man said that 20.8-34 will fit the rim... now the question is have any of you put these on and do they hit the fender or the belt pulley??? please help i want the bigger tires but dont want to waste $1500 either...

A step rim will put an 18.4x38 om there. They will outpull any 23.1x26 unless the pull is held on a beach. If in doubt, go bigger with height rather than width.

will the tire guy not mount it on your rim and let you see if it will fit and take it off it it doesn't? is it going to "grow" any when you put weight and a load on it?
