Just wondering what you did on the 730 transmission bearing you couldn't find. I also have my transmission torn down and need to do something. Shuster Bearing says they can provide a replacement but the cost is $254.35, so it is a little high. Any way let me know your solution.

Thanks

Kamal

I didn't come up with a good solution yet. I have been busy with some other summer projects and haven't been working on the 730. I definitely want a new bearing. What we need is a bearing that is 60mm inside, 120 mm outside, and 23mm thick. It is not a standard bearing as I understand. The best price I found to have one made was $298.00, so you are doing better than me with your price from Shuster. A stock bearing is available with a 65 mm insided diameter. (cost $90.00) To use that you would need to press a sleeve on the shaft and then machine the sleeve on the shaft to 65 mm. Then I'm not sure the snap ring would hold the bearing in place. Maybe Shuster would give us a little break on two of them. Are you interested? Maybe there are others looking for this bearing. Email me directly if you want.
