The Nebraska camper reminded me of my grandfather's tractors. If any of you live anywhere near Holyoke, Co you will know my late grandfather whos name was Clarence. He and my grandmother were known in the community for never throwing ANYTHING away. That was bad in that their place was an eyesore to drive by but very good in that there were lots of things to restore. Since they had trouble ever letting go of stuff I had to get creative. As a dentist I traded my grandad a set of dentures for a jd 70 gas that I restored. Just last week my cousin called from out there (I live in North Carolina now) and told me he had located my grandad's late model jd D and did I want to retore it? DID I!! I'm going to hitch up the trailer and go get it! A couple other projects I am currently working on restoring that I "rescued" from my grandparents farm are a 1935 Chev grain truck they bought new, and a 1929 Model A Ford my mother drove to college.
Most of the fun for me restoring my john deer's is that they are part of the family.

Certainly a bit of nostalgia, isn't it. I have my dads red H and a JD B that was in the neighborhood when I was coming up. Hauled them 1000 miles in pieces to get them here and put them back together and they run like new. Lots and lots of fun to be had. J Howard Seminole Alabama
