Has anyone ever added one or two remotes to a 3 cylinder JD 850. I use mine a lot for little grooming projects on the farm but would also like to have some remotes for loader use. What parts/valves are needed to convert, how hard is it to add remotes and about how much money. Any help is appreciated. Great little tractor that sips the diesel which is nice at $3 a gallon.

Yes, I did exactly this on my 850. I didn't want to pay $1300 for the JD remote hydraulics kit so I did it myself using a Prince loader valve. The 850 series had a block change to the hydraulic system around S/N 9000, which changes the way you tap into the hydraulic system. Contact me privately and I can send you pictures and more details.

Joe..sorry for the delay..my serial number is GW3043D19896 (3T80J). I think it is a 1987 or a 1989 model. I would appreciate any help into converting the tractor to have remotes.

Joe...thanks for reply. Mine is supposed to be a 87 model but to be sure I'll go get the serial number and get back with you later for more details.
