I have an early 720 rowcrop with the 1 1/8 thickness drawbar with a jog in it. I'm having a hard time finding a decent replacement. Does anyone sell a drawbar for these? I have been thinking about ordering some steel bar stock and making one up, but I'm not exactly sure what type of steel I need. Were these heat treated? What type of steel would I need to get to match the strength and toughness of the original? I would like to get something that can be welded without loss of strength. I use this tractor regularly so I need something that will work in the feild.

Try Denglers Tractor,Inc. at 513-423-4000 in Middletown,Ohio. I bought one for my 70 last year, make sure you tell them the length. They also have new ones that they make. I paid 120$ for my used one.

The drawbar I have has been broken at the support and cobbled back together with a LOT of welding rod. I don't want to spend time trying to fix up somehting that will never be really right.

Could you not build it up with a weld and then grind it to match the original? I am not a welder, I am just curious.
