4020 Thrust Washer Question

Good afternoon, I am hoping someone can provide some advice on how to properly correct excessive crankshaft endplay in an early 4020 diesel engine. I had the crankshaft turned .o20 under at machine shop. After reinstalling with the proper oversized bearing inserts and a new oversize thrust washer kit, I measure .o11 endplay, where as the specs call for only .o025-.o085. It is the 3 piece washer kit (from Deere), consisting of one standard width washer, and two .oo7 oversized washers. THe instructions call for installing both oversized washers on back side of thrust bearing, and installing the one standard width washer on the front half of bearing (on the cap side). I did so and got the results mentioned above. So, my question is, can the standard sized washer, which was installed on the front side of the thrust bearing, be replaced with a .007 oversized washer such as the ones installed on the rear side of the bearing? My local Deere dealer's best mechanic has never tried this, but doesn't know why it wouldn't work. I was wondering if any of you guys might have tried this or heard of someone who has. Or maybe .011 endplay is not really all that bad? I am new to this, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot, Alex
