Hi Guys,

I don't know much about these green tractors; used to the red ones and the old red ones at that.

Anyway, my friend wanted me to use his 7800 and 21' disc to work down my rough sod in exchange for use of my baler next summer.

Lop-sided deal in my favor I know, but that is what he wanted to do, so I agreed.

Anyway, I've been across a good 45 acres with this thing, the tank was full when I started. Thing of it is, it still shows one hashmark above the 1/2 mark, even after I let it set and cool down a few minutes before shutting it off tonight.

His gauge must be funky, right? Or does this gizmo hold 300 gallon of fuel?

I don't wanna run this thing out of fuel and damage something because of my ignornance.

Thanks for your help,

Allan

I think your OK. 45 acres on half a tank is about right, especially with an easy load like a 21 ft light disk. Those new ones are pretty easy on fuel.

Thanks Jim,

It was starting to worry me a little.

That is one impressive tractor; like you say, it doesn't even know that disc is in the ground.

Only limiting factor is me. I'm in C-2 at about 5.7mph; don't wanna hurt that expensive machine that belongs to someone else! :>)
