I don't know if it possible, or for that matter worth it. Does anyone do repairs on tachometers that don't work, and if so what kind of cost is involved. Or should I get a new one, what is the cost of a new one for a 4010 from John Deere.

Contact Doug Keil Fayette, Iowa. cell# 563-580-2124. He had one repaired for me several years ago. Turned out great

I can tell you that unless your old one is beyond repair, have it fixed. The ones made by our neighbors to the south, and our neighbors to the far east are J U N K. My 4020 goes throug them like underwear. The original was still working after 18,000 hours. It was just impossible to read. I wish I had my original back. I'd have it fixed.

Try the parts book, 4010, & tachometer and then price it on parts page.
