I recently purchased a 435 and want to bump the injector size up a little to get a little more horsepower for our local pull. From what I have read on this site, I should only increase 2 injector sizes or you really put alot of stress on the rear gears. What is the stock size in these little tractors? Also, where can you order injectors? Thanks for any help.

The 2-53 used in the 435 & 440's were not equiped with oil coolers or piston spray cooling rods. So going up from the S35's is going to risk scored sleeves/pistons and ruined rings due to the extra heat. New or rebuilt improved N35's is all that should go in there. Toss the S series parts away. A two valve 53 engine was factory equiped with S45 or N45 injectors at most. As long as the tractor isn't ballasted over 4500lbs and the driver isn't horsing around rough. The R&P is fine with clean high quality GL-4 Marine 140 wt. If you are ever into the transmission/final drives. The HD r&p from 1010's prior to serial # 31,000 bolt right in. I would chose the low speed set myself. The final drive gears can be swapped out for those from a 31,001 & up 1010 for 15% more reduction. I would gear her down and turn the rpms up to 2400FL before boosting power.
