The R-1-3 shifter is stuck in neutral on my A (top 3 gears, or bottom rail). Where is the detent? Any good way to get it loose?

Thanks,

If you haven't already done this, lift the gear shift mechanism including the pedistal up and slide it out of the way. The three shifters should be lined up front to back. This is where your gear shift lever fits to select the proper shifter. Give it a good looking over. One of the shifters could be worn, bent or the ball on the end of the shift lever could be worn and allowing it to ship out of the shifter. You wil probably see what is causing the problem. Also, check to see that the shift lever will not pull up and out of the shifters.

Shifter is out. Going to replace the ball and fulcrum all of that is worn out. The rest of the stuff looks good. I can"t move the lower shift quadrant. It is very stuck. Detend has to be growed up.
