several years ago i saw an unrestoed b that had three decals on it that contained patent info. does anybody have a tractor with these decals on it. i've never seen any in a set of decals. is there any way to get a pictuure of the decals location and a hand written copy of these decals sent to a decal maker so this info want be lost forever. i'd love to have them to put on my b. thanks and may you and your family be safe.

I was thinkin (always dangerous this time of the AM) What about those guys that make custom stamps? Like at the office supply stores. You'd need to find the right typeface and just ink the stamp with white paint???? I'll look around for the right font and check it out.

Here's a photo of the patent decal on my 46 "A" long hood, just above and behind the flywheel --Walt--

I hope they never do repop those as it's one of the very few things left to prove original paint verses redone.

i'd just hate for that info to be lost forever. at some point the decals will get to old to read and somebody else may own the tractor and then repaint it and lose that history forever. i think that there could be a little something added to the decal that would show it as a reprint if necessary, but i think that most people could tell if a tractor has been repainted or not, or if the decals looked to new to go with and old paint job. thanks for your reply

I'm with you johns48b, I have been trying to find the patent numbers on my 44 B for 2 years. There is nothing wrong with trying to make your tractor as complete as possible with patent numbers. If you will look in the archives on this sight you will see some of the others who are also looking for the numbers. The numbers on my tractor were very faded but I have been able to get 75% of them. I won't stop untill I have all 100%.
