I just thought I would ask if there was a guideline for mounting the mower deck. I got this JD 425 with a snow blade and am going to need to put the moweer deck on in a few weeks and I have never done it. It looks fairly easy but whenever I say that it seems to be a real bear so I just thought I would ask. Thanks in advance for your help.

No tricks that I know of, very easy deck to work with as long as you have concrete surface to use. Just make sure the shaft coupler is free before sliding the deck under there. Also don't be alarmed if you kill the engine a few times starting the deck. The 425 has to be at or very near full throttle to get the deck spinning, no belt to slip to help cushion the load. You have a fine mower enjoy it.
