I"m about to buy a JD 1010 with Dual Loader, but, I"m a little dismayed I don"t see much talk about the 1010 here. What"s wrong with that tractor that noone seems to own one?

If you did a successful search, you probably learned some about 1010's. I have one and my introduction to the opinions of the world came from my friendly J-D dealer. There they told me that 1010 nearly bankrupted J-D and the only thing worse than one with a gas engine was one with a diesel engine. My hydraulic system needs work and they refused to touch it. Said they are too hard to figure out. But my 1010 does what I need it to do. If you go in with your eyes open, you will probably be okay. Just don't pay and arm and a leg for one.

Gasser 1010's are fine. The diesels take some tlc and $$$ to keep operating.

Before anyone else can jump on my I"ll jump on myself. I didn"t know how to do a simple search on the 1010 inside this forum.
