I have a JD gator with a Kawasawki motor in it. It is two cylinder engine in it but only fires on one. I have replaced the Spark plugs and then the coil assembly and it still only fires on one cylinder. Anyone have any ideas on what to try next.

For ignition problem start at the plugs and work your way back. Since you have replaced the plugs, you should check to see if there is a spark making its way thru the plug wires. It could be a short inside the wire that is grounding the spark before it gets back to the engine. You could also check to see if the coil is creating a second spark. Hopefully the new coil is able to generate a second spark. If not, the second coil could be either bad also or it may be aligned wrong. If everything electrical check out and you still don't have a spark, you may have to just take it in to your Deere shop and let them look at it.

Did that, ran a compression test. There is no spark on the one cylinder. That is what I can't figure out, why there is no spark.

Does anyone know anything about the control that automatically lifts the bed on a JD Gator? The darn thing is so expensive there must be an after market part available.
