4020 Steering arm slop

Does anyone have a fix the slop that develops on the spline between the steering arm and the knuckle on a 4020? I have a fair amount on the right side only??? I would suppose the arm is the part that is worn but I'm not sure.

I had the same problem also on the right side. I replaced the steering arm and that tighten things up alittle, but there still is some slop. I am afraid that completely cure the problem the knuckle may also need to be replaced. Seems like once you have wear on the splines it is tough to keep "em tight.

Jim,
I got a 4010 and there was a lot of slop in the right side. I replaced all 4 rod ends and ALL the slop went out. They were all bad but the right side outer was the worst.

This is not rod end slop, it is slop in the spline connection between the steering arm and the knuckle (JD's term for the axle assembly).

I have the same issue, can you shim up the splines and make it work.
