I have a 2010 that the throttle lever will not stay in position, it vibrates down to low idle when you let go of it. I thought there was a friction adjustment on there someplace but I can't remember where. Does anybody know?

Hi Jimjo2. I also have a 2010, a 1965 model. The service manual shows the throttle friction adjustment screw with directions on adjustment on page 70-15-5.
I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to have the operators manual, parts catalog, and service manual for your tractor. The service manual will answer all of your questions concerning everything on your tractor. The owners manual tells you how to use it and service it.
Owners manual for 2010: OM-T19263T
Service manual for 2010: SM-2035
Parts manual for 2010: PC0689
They are a little pricey from Deere but worth it if you plan on keeping the tractor. They can sometimes be had on Ebay as well.
You can order direct from the Deere publisher at 800-522-7448

Under the steering wheel is a door in the dash remove the door and you will see a cap screw with a 7/16 head. Loosen it first then tighten until the throttle brake is where you want it. Dont be surprised that it dont twist off. Then you remove the steering wheel and the dash to get the throttle brake out.
