What is the best way to go about converting a model 36 loader with a manure bucket to a full bucket? What size should I be looking for? I want to convert the loader to hydraulic dump as well so I will need to add a live hydraulic circuit to the tractor. Any thoughts?

What tractor is this going to be on? That will determine size of bucket and how heavy it needs to be. I have a #35 on a JD 430. Years ago my uncle put a 5 foot material bucket on it, it was trip type until I got it. Works great with snow but too big with dirt. It is the JD type that slips over the forks and bolts to the rear. I use pins and can remove it leaving jsut forks in a few minutes. I also converted it to full hydraulic with a single 3 inch cylinder in the middle. Not a good idea on that loader as the front cross member isn't that heavy and I have had to reinforce it. If I were doing it again, or when I can aford to redo it I would go with JD system of long cylinders, 2, that hook near where the lift cylinders fasten. I would get a parts book for your loader and try to stay as near JD configuration as possible. The bigger the bucket and the more weight you get on the front, cyllinders etc, the harder steering the tractor will be and the more abuseto your front end.
