Going to an auction on Saturday, and they have an ARPS 730 3pt backhoe. How well would this mate up to my "66 4020D? I am looking for something for light ditchwork and maybe to dig some footers around the barn. My father-in-law has a Case 580, but it would be nice to have a small hoe around.

Thanks, Jon

Don't know what an "ARPS" is, but I've got a Kelley #56 on my 4020 and it's a good match. Need to put a flow restrictor on it though, it's a little jumpy. Also, pipe it direct, bypassing the SCV's.

Dad had a new arps one time,we had trouble with the cylinders bending. He was pushing some dirt back into a hole with the bucket when the cylinder bent into a U shape.

oil gpm & preasure will be on the slow side
by the time you get a backhoe on the back of a 4020
it will be as big as the 580
