Fuel Strainer for JD730D CE Gasoline Tank

I have what I think is the original Bendix fuel strainer on my 730. I ordered a new bowl gasket (F3644R) from Deere and it is too big (1-1/4" od). The bowl on my fuel strainer is 1" od. Where can I get a gasket to fit my strainer? Do I have the correct fuel strainer on my tractor? TIA!

I bought one last year for a sediment bowl on a 70D (it was added later and appears to be just like the 720/730 factory unit). The bowl assembly says Tillotson, Toledo. I had it apart today in fact.

Maybe JD have mispackaged one.

My assembly says Bendix Zenith. I bought two (2) F3644R bowl gaskets several years ago and they are both the same size. Is your bowl 1" od? Thanks!

BTW, you can most likely get the gasket you need at a Kohler or Briggs and Stratton dealer. Older engines used sediment bowls like that, and even some of the gas tank caps used a smaller cork gasket. I once stole one out of small 1 gallon gas can I have on the shelf until I could get to town and buy what I needed.

Thanks for the suggestion to check with a small engine shop. I am ordering another gasket from my JD dealer to see if I get the correct one. BTW, which do you think is better, a cork or rubber gasket? I am leaning toward a rubber one.

Personal preference, but on fuel, I like cork, but I guess it doesn't matter.
