I am looking for a bottom radiator tank for my 830 John Deere 2 cylinder tractor. I have checked almost every salvage dealer that I know of. I found 2 and when the guys were taking them off, the pin was froze up and they busted them trying to press the pin out. I was wandering if anyone has one in good condition. Any replies would be appreciated. Thanks, Anthony

We had the same thing happen to our 80. We had it welded and then it cracked again with in 6 months in a different spot. I got to looking and the upper water pipes seemed to not line up properly. I think (emphasis, think) what was happening is that when we put the bolts in both ends of the uppper water pipes and tightened them down the pipes wanted to move the radiator in a direction that the bottom pin would not let it go. Add some use, vibration, and tractor pulling w/ the front end up and down, and we broke it again. This time for reassembly I used thicker gaskets to get everything to line up and it has held for a year, so far. I don't think this solves your problem but mabey it will help.

Also try Biewers in western Minnisota if you haven't tried already.
