Hi, can anyone help me out, I have a 1941 or 42 jd (B) not sure of the year some books say 41 others say 42,S#124717 but one rod has babit and the other has inserts, the one with the babit is in not so good shape I would like to replace it with the insert type. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what rod & bearing I will need to do this, the crank shaft jornal looks to be in very good shape yet. THANKS, JOHN

You are really better off if you could find some good used babbit ones as they are more forgiving on a worn crank.
