ON MY 5310 THE DASH GETS FOGGY (MILKY LOOKING) AFTER USING THE TRACTOR FOR SEVERAL HOURS. AFTER IT SETS FOR SEVERAL HOURS IT WILL CLEAR UP. THANKS FOR ANY INFORMATION.

AMO:

You probably have some moisture in the gauge pack which enters via a bad seal. When the dash warms up it becomes a cloud and fogs the dash, then when it warms up farther, it boils away. Unfortunately, when it cools down it draws moisture back in and the cycle starts again. If you can see the crack, and can seal it, you can probably stop it. I have dried things like that using my Seal-A-Meal, then open it by re-filling with dry Argon. Then trickle some glue into the crack and you have it fixed.

I have had it occur just because of a humid environment, and not just from rainfall. It gets foggy in a bathroom after a shower and that's not outside. Just high humidity.

Down here where I live in N. Florida, dampness in gauges is always a problem. I put a small application of thinned clear coat urethane on the rims of new gauges and let it run around the edge of the lens and rim. Then I wipe it clean and that seems to keep my gauges from obtaining and retaining mositure.
