There is a JD 630 Lp for sale in the local paper. I'm not sure if it is standard or row crop. I don't care for LP tractors but would be if it is a good deal. I think there were close to 1900 built, Assuming the tractor is in fair running condition what price range should I expect?

Price will just depend on condition, options, and location and who wants it. Several LP 630s around still working. Most LPs put out more power than other 630s also. If it's a standard buy it for sure if price is right as it will only increase as long as there is a demand for them by collectors. Saw a nice 630 LP auction off last year that is still working go for $2800.

If it's a standard or high crop I'll save it from the scrap yard. If it runs and the price is right I still would purchase it. LP need not be feared.

You're pretty close on the total built. 1,872 row-crop, 16 standard, 3 high-crop, total 1,891.

Sorry I can't help you on the value.

Stan

There is one advertised in the Mississippi Market Bulletin in the Nov. 1 issue for $1700. No more details given. Don't know if it is factory LP or aftermarket, or anything else. Hope this helps.
