What am I doing wrong that's causing one of the bottom tabs on my 60's Fan Shaft Support Bracket to break every 6 months or so? The manual indicates that 8 of #24H4R 17/32" x 1-1/2" x 26 gauge washers should be used - I'm assuming 4 under each of the two bottom tabs? I also need to locate a #A5202R Fan Shaft Support Bracket (again) for my 60 with power steering.
Thanks!

My 60 was doing the same thing. It was that way when I bought it. I just welded a small peace of angle iron at the damaged point. It's been holding for about 2 years now. After it was painted it looked pretty good. Make sure to keep that broken tab in the original place if you go this way.
