Does anyone think that a 4020 with 15.5 singles (with wieghts and fluid) will pull a 20' disk?
Trying to disk in some covercrop.

We usually pull it with a 4630, but it's radiator is in need of repair. Stopleak just won't cut it this time...

It also depends on the shape of your disc. last year I used my neighbors 14ft IH disc with worn out blades and my 4020 pulled that in 4th(PS) no sweat. This year I put new 24"x 1/4" disc blades on my 10ft Disc and it had a hard time managing. My 4020 has 20.8x34 rice and cane tires full of fluid and 500lbs of iron on each side. I farm in heavy clay soil.

we ran a 15' BWA behind our 4020 with single 18.4-34's and weights a couple of times. all it would do in 4th (synchro) in bean stubble bottom ground

You will not be able to disk very deep all. If you don't have duals you will run out of traction especially going up hills. It will be short on power as well. That disk is a good match for a 4440. You are about 50 hp and a few thousand pounds short of that.

That isn't alot of tire for that kind of hp. It will probably get the job done though.

Your 4020 might pull your disk but not very deep or fast. We pulled a JD 21ft FW for years with our 4020. Thats what it is doing in the picture. But the FW was not near as heavy duty as the 630.
