Am curious as to the approximate value of a restored 1940 slant dash model B with no electrics at all. Any input is appreciated.

I've given your question a little more thought. It may be possible that you have a Slant Dash B that had the lighting only option from the factory which has been removed over time. Then there would not be a starting ring on the flywheel so now the tractor looks bare. I sure would like to see some pictures of this B and find out the serial number. I own two 1940 Slant Dash B's.

the serial # is 84783, and I have put some pics of her on the tractor photos area of this site. If this tractor had electrics, then the fan shaft was also changed in its liftime because there is no pulley on it. Nothing in the battery box, either. I have many more photos if you need them. Thanks

Does it still have the rubber hub mounted fan ? If so then the pulley that fits on these is a 2 piece unit that you can unbolt and remove fairly easy. Hard telling what the history of this old iron is.

A 1940 Slant Dash B w/o electrics at all is a mis-configured B. The 1939 and 1940 Slant Dash version B from the factory either had Electric Lights or Electric Starting or both.

So it's really not a Slant Dash technically.
