That operator's manual and the parts book are priced at $30.00 EACH from Deere TechPubs.

Within the last year, I picked up an original owner's manual (OM-H10-250), which has a parts book in the back section, on ebay for about $10.00. A bit of a savings, if you can find one of those!

Like Bob said you can sometimes find original manuals for less in ads here or ebay. There were different versions of the operators manual also. The one I listed was probably the last one JD printed for the #5. Just get a manual that is for the #5 mower. I have another version OM-H10-156 operators manual for #5 Caster-Wheel Power Mower. Just a different version and it shows operation, maintainance, assembly, accessory options, and charts and illustrations for many hookups to several makes and models of tractors.

You can usually find those at swap meets for very reasonable prices. I saw a set attached to a model 50 tractor (without the mower!) earlier this summer at an implement dealer in North Dakota. Let me know if you still need them and I can email the dealer name and phone #.

Shucks, I am in error. The brackets I saw are the quick-tach brackets that go on the drawbar sides. I wasn't thinking correctly. Sorry
