I posted a message awhile back about my 265 starting hard. It would turn over until you thought there was no chance of starting... and then it would. Someone replied that I had a bent choke cable. I believe they are right. When I jack with the cable as I turn it over. It usually starts quickly. My problem is I am not sure which "wire" is the choke. There are two rigid wires between the carb area and the mechanical area (where the throttle cable comes down to). One is a long horizontal wire with a "paper clip-looking dip in the center of the run. The other cable runs parallel to this one. It is fairly straight and looks to have a very small spring at each end of it. Can anyone identify which one I really need to replace? Thanks....Jon

Have someone pull the choke while you watch to see which one moves. sounds like the fuel pump and or a bad fuel line letting the gas leak back to the tank so you have to do a lot of cranking to get the gas back to the carb.
