I am looking at buying a 520. It has a nice homemade three point hitch on it. It does not have the load and depth controller where the center link attaches. I beleive it came from the factory without a three point hitch but would it also have been without the draft control mechanism? It has the one lever for rockshaft control but no remote hydralics. No power steering either. This tractor was bought as cheap as the guy could get it apparently. What about it folks? Does anyone know for sure if Deere shipped without the centerlink/draft control attachment?

In the 20 series book from the Green Magazine,J.R. Hobbs says that you could order a tractor with as many or as few options as you wanted. My 1957 620 did not have power steering,a fuel gauge, cigarette lighter,a tach or a float ride seat. I consider it a bare bones tractor and it has powertrol and a p.t.o anything was possible I guess.... Hope this helps,Buzz

Yes, you could order a tractor equipped as yours is. We used to have a 730 that never had any load control mechanism in it. The Custom Power Trol could be ordered in a number of configurations, from bare bones to full dress. Hope this helps. Mike
