Does anyone know if there is a creeper 1st gear available for the JD G? Aftermarket? I need to slow mine down for certain pulls so that it can put the power down at the 275-300 foot mark instead of spinning out due to high wheel speed. I'm currently pulling in 1st gear running 18.4-34 Firestone 23's.

What kind of engine mods, tractor weight and track surface? To spin out 18.4x38's with a G's fast 1st gear takes power or very poor traction. Does the front end ever lift?

Ground speed is your friend! If you have the power to spin it, work on tire pressure and balance. If you dont have the power, work on tuning to get enough power to spin it.

How will a lower gear that will effectivly increase the torque at the rear wheels make you less likely to spin out????? ?
