We have just pulled the pistons out on our 70D. Checked the bore and it is .045 over so I could order rings for the rebuild. However, I am not able to identify my pistons because the part numbers have been ground off. The manual lists two sets of piston rings that are .045 over. The manual lists AF2225R as .045 piston rings for Keystone pistons with part number F2173R. The manual also lists AF3769R as .045 piston rings for pistons with part number AF3766R. Since I am not able to identify my pistons by part number, does anyone know how I can figure out what pistons I have or which set of rings I need.

Any help is appreciated,

KHE 70

Clean the top face of the piston off real good as the oversized ones were marked on top. If you have keystone rings the very top one will not be squared off the ring and the groove will be made with a taper on both sides.
