JD 1530 Loader Hydraulics-Need advice

While bushhogging I broke the two hydraulic lines that lift my JD 143 loader. The bucket would still operate as would the 3 pt. hitch hydraulics.
I had replacement hoses made up and have installed them. I also topped off the hydraulic fluid. The loader will operate up and down but is somewhat erratic. I am assuming I need to bleed the hydraulic lines to the two cylinders. Is that correct and if so do I simply loosen the line connections at the cylinder, raise the loader and tighten the lines (like one would bleed the brake lines on a vehicle)?

just keep operating it and checking fluid level--it should fix itself

If you just operate the loader up and down a few times it should clear up if just air in the lines. Will probablyhave to top off the level again after air worked out.
