The G's block to head bolt pattern is different from the gas/LP 70. The G block is also longer than the 70 gas/LP block. This makes the 7-3 powerblock a high demand item for 70s. There is a company casting new monster bore blocks for G's and 70's. Advertised in most pulling magazines.

DID the gas,lp use the same crankshaft case as the allfuel 70 or were they a differnt bolt pattern???

The 70 all fuel is a rare piece and have been grabbed by pullers before the huge ported head was available from Jerry for G's. The crank and rods are the same dimensions for gas, LP and all-fuel 70 and all G's. LP's cranks were made of a better alloy. I don't recall offhand when or if G's went to insert bearings. Lining up the water, aircleaner and linkages makes it a tedious project. Less headaches and won't cost anymore for the new powerblock.
