I am looking for a John Deere model H power take off shaft, for a later model H. The part number is AH1096R. Does anyone have one or know where I could locate one. I would really appreciate any help in the fixing this tractor. My shaft is twisted into.

Have you had a John Deere dealer run it on the dealer locater ? I found a NOS one at a really good price a few years back for a fellow that had the same problem.

My-oh-my -- Adam, take it from me -- make your first call to Charles Lindstrom in Missouri, then if you feel led -- give those other two a call. Charles has parted out just over 150 H tractors and has an almost inate comprehension of what will work in your tractor. I assure it! You can go to www.parts4tractors.com I urge you to give him a buzz somehow. try 1-913-365-5500 also. This msg is from [email protected]

Adam:

You might want to keep an eye toward EBay. I bought one for the "H" I am adding pto to there a few weeks ago.

It came from Dave Cook Tractor Parts. You might try and track them down via their EBay store or an internet search. They handle a lot of "H" stuff. Also, www.oldjd4u.com (Sharp's).
