My prob is at number 1 scv-wont hold pressure-i did the diagnostic test and found it not to be an electrical mal-function.I removed the stack, seperated them dowm to # 1 and checked all the spools, check valves, orings etc, nothing mechanical seems to be wrong.the only thing I believe i found was a missing sring in the solenoid valve spool(small bugger)but the thought arises I may have lost it in the removal process but after much searching and the way it was removed I dont believe so.Yet still bothers me if it would have anything to do with the prob in the first place.I was wondering of the remote possibility of the valve body being cracked.Theres no external leakage. Its not the implement cause we switched scv's and works fine.it just wont hold psi at both ports.I didnt check the couplers themselves-didnt see why according to the schematics how they would be the prob.Any help would be great.Sorry to hit this board with a new generation tractor but I'm baffled.

agri, Before I answer your question I would like to ask a few first and that is: How are you checking the leak down rate? Are you using a 10' test hose as called for in the leak down rate test procedure? If not test may past, but most likely never will. Can't check these 8000 series tractors like we did the older tractors and expect acceptable results. There is a DTAC case on this test. If valve is leaking more than what is within spec, the most likely place it would be, being you already have checked your load check valves and valve spools for scoring is the outlet spools themselves. The outlet coupler spools can leak to the back side into the lever area. On some series of valves, a load can be applied to the valve like a raised implement and the leakage can be monitored with engine off by removing the snap-ring retaining the lever and watch for oil flow from back of outlet spools while implement is settling. Depending on how fast the implement is settling will reflect the amount of flow from spool area. If no flow is present and implement is settling you may have a cracked housing but unlikely. Good Luck, DW
