Dose anyone have an idea if cylinder block F3510R from a 730D fits a 720D with a cylinder block F1956R? My book shows AF2188R(what ever this number is to) cylinder block F1956R with studs (sub. AF3703R)then you look up that number and it says cylinder block, F3510R, with studs. I was told buy by a parts yard that they knew that some of 730D blocks fit 720D's but they really didn't know witch ones if any didn't cross over. Any help or ideas? Iam confused are you yet?

The later block is a direct fit for the earlier one. In my parts book dated 1965, the F3510 would have been sold if you needed a block for an early 720D. In fact, once the F1956R's were used up, the F3510R would have been sold to service a 70D as well. The assembly numbers were used to describe the addition of the studs and such.

So, you are good to go.

Frank
