I went down from here in Dear old Michigan to see it and warm up and I did both and wasn't disappointed. The village is real nice and there were a slew of exhibits. Yeah, you gotta have a transport piece or like to walk, me, I can walk and really enjoy it. I'm only 70 and walking is really good for me and lets me stuff myself at the good dinners and suppers they have there. The place is a "zoo" the way the tractors are scattered all over hell's half acre. In three days I had to work out a system to see it all and still spend hours at the tractor pulls which were good but not great IMHO. I'll go back if I possibly can next year, in fact I'm gonna look into spending some of the winter there, the winters flat suck here in Michigan lately. It was hard to find a motel, I ended up giving 75 bucks a night for a "flea bag" in Avon Park.

Gene, It was my first time there, I never saw so many motorhomes and golf carts in my life. I liked the antique village the best as its a living woorking museum where repairs are made with the same equipment n tools as in the olden days. I prefer, however, a show laid out where tractor exhibits are all together with fleas and parts vendors in their own area. At that show you have to cover alllll llll the numerous isles to see everything. Still I enjoyed it and plan to return, maybe take a tractor or my Panzer next time so I can camp inside the grounds right with my exhibit like they do there. That part think I will like as an exhibitor cuz your home is right there beside you all night n day versus havign to go elsewhere to your camper.

John T.

I to attended my first Florida Flywheelers show this past weekend. I enjoyed the show and will certainly come again. I feel the show could have been better organized. Somehow and someway, I think the tractor exhibitors should be located separately from the other vendors. My primary reason for coming was to look at the old tractors. While I have no aversion to exercise, I had to walk alot of extra steps to get my money's worth and see the old tractors.

Conversely, and under the circumstances, I feel the nucleus group of the Florida Flywheelers who donated their time and effort to put on the show did an extraordinary job, considering the large number of attendees.

i agree with both of you johnt an billcrews they did have a very nice village, an they did do a good job of handling that many people also but i agree also that i would have enjoyed the show alot more if they would have put all the exhibit tractors in one area not just some of them( that is where mine an a freind of mine that we both brought one down). they should have also put the parts vendors in one area, the small engines in one area, close to the tractors, an then the fleamearketers in another area or row what ever you wanted to call it. it seemed like there was no organization on how they were set up at all. it would have been better for the general public also. since i wasnt i paid vendor just a exhibitor we even had a hard time getting the plack an button also. we did get them finally. but after draggin a tractor 1600 miles i was a little disappointed. i am not saying they didnt do a good job cause they did with what all they had to recover from. but it seems there needs to be a little more organization when it is show. when they have the the swap meet or fleamarket it would probably be another story, but a show should be mainly a show. i will probably go back but not until it is john deere again. i hope it is alittle better gorganized by then. johndeeregene
i hope i didnt unset the flywheeler to much cause i know how much work it is to put on a show
