If I heat the inside of the neck where it goes into the top tank and take a big pipe wrench to turn that neck out, will I break anything. I don't know how thick that top tank is???

Thanks

I wouldn't use heat, that would expand the neck. I would use a hacksaw and slice down to the top of the radiator, then use a chisel to bend in the ring, should come right out. Ron Mn.

you should be ok, mine was pretty bad, my welding guy had it out pretty quick, some of it came out in pieces. you'll need to heat it up some when putting the new neck back in there, DON'T drive it in with a hammer, you'll mess it up, you can lay a board across the top of it, and lightly tap it in.

42-45 model best we can tell. I already have a new filler neck for it. It is the big neck and looks like about an inch of it sticks above the hood. I have sprayed some pb blaster around it to soak but I was afraid that I would break the cast top of the radiator. Thanks

Where did you get the new one? in reply to 5th Wheel, 02-22-2005 18:03:26
Where did you get the new filler neck. The one on my 720 is about 3 inches above the hood and is OBVIOUSLY not the right one; but it DON'T LEAK so I don't want to bugger it up until I get hands on a proper replacement. Any help appreciated,
