Hi, my 6030 engine is smokin a bit more than It should (oil smoke), I have the chance of a 619 engine from a pea viner that had a rebuild not long ago. This engine is half the price of what it would cost in parts to rebuild mine. The question is will it fit as I have heard there are two types of oil pumps cam and crank driven and will either fit with the tractor oil pan ? Thanks,
Chris.

i have put a 619 in a 5020 and i know the 6030 would be an easier swap. the biggest problem you will have is the water pump pully on the 619 puts the fan in the radiator, i put the 531 pulley on the 619 pump (had to have the hole machined for a press fit) i had to space the crank pulley about 1/2 to 3/4 of an in. to get the pulleys to line up, also had to space the oil pump bracket away from the front of engine the same distance as the pulley spacer there are already spacers on that bracket next to the block, i got two more from junk yard and had them milled to the thickness i needed. the 5020 i did had over 300 hp. after swapping to stock 619 thats been 15 yrs. ago and have had no trouble. if you plan on working it you will want to get an 8 blade fan

The radiator fan clearance between the 5020 and the 6030 is where the two tractors differ that really make the 6030 the easier tractor to re-power. The radiator is further forward on the 6030 leaving the room you need for the block mounted water pump the 619 engine and 6030 531A engine both use. The hydraulic pump bracket is different as well as the front steering casting to allow the larger front pulley / balancer to fit without interference which the 5020 has in these areas. After doing a 5020 a 6030 is a walk in the park. DW

Chris, The new or late style 619 engine will bolt in your 6030 with little to no alteration. All mounting patterns and flanges are the same. These engine fit right in a 6030 easy compared to a 5010 or 5020 because the (531A) series engine used in the 6030 is dimensionally the same as the 619 on the outside and use common P series injection pumps. There was some 619 engines that used a distributor type injection pump, hope the 619 engine don't have that type of injection pump as you do not want a distributor type pump. The later crank driven oil pump design engine would be a plus. Your oil pan from your 6030 531A engine will fit right on the 619 engine.
