Well after replacing all the hoses and lines durring several different trys to heat my cab, I think I have found why they were disconnected. I thought I had it all set and throttled it up and got squirted with antifreeze in the head. I pulled the heater core out and it looks to be in good shape. I have a small pin hole in the middle of it. Should I replace it or have it repaired at a radiator shop? Deere wants $165 for it. Does any one know were to find a aftermarket one? thanks

if the core is aluminum it may be hard to fix by a radiator shop you can try and fix it with epoxy on the spot witout disconnecting a/c lines (if there are any).

If it is in a tube, a radiator shop can cut the tube and solder both ends or just do a mechanical weld to seal it off.

If it is a tank leak (assuming it's brass) a little solder and flux should do it.

Sorry your 4230 is letting you down. Just bought one and anxious to put it to the field.
