to anyone with help,

I have been talking to my grandfather about purchasing his his 1952 B with JD loader from him due to he can no longer walk well, and the tractor is currently in good shape. would like to get it before it sits.the tin is in perfect condition, motor has been overhauled, head rebuilt etc. good tires, he keeps it in good cond. has never sat out, and he bought the tractor brand new. the thing is that i am not familar with the prices of JD's i do not want to take advantage of my grandfather and he feels the same twards me . any ideas as to a reasonable price? thanks

A good B seems to be bringing $2000 now. Not long ago they were in the $1500-1750 range. I don't know what a loader brings but if you can pay $2500 for it I think it would be fair to both of you. He may knock a little off of that for his grandson but it's better if he did than you asking him to. Some ask as much as $2500-3500 for a B but in my opinion thats way high for most of them.

I don't know where you are located, but around here, a good 52 B with loader will run more in the $2000-2500 range.
