Have a F-11 loader and a 4020LP thinking of putting it on. It would need mounts to go from the axle housing forward to mount the loader on as the tractor is too long to fit the loader without the brackets. Just wondering if these brackets are made and if so where are they available. Also what kind of outfit would this make, good or a bad idea?

We had a F-11 loader on a 620 at one time. Had the whole works,,,the 10' hay basket with push off, grapple fork, the manure fork and the dirt bucket. Put up and feed alot of hay with it. Worked good execpt for two things. One the hyd pump tyied up the PTO and at that time the 620 was our main tractor. Didn't like tying up a main tractor with a loader. When it was on it was in the way when useing the tractor for other things, and it was off the tractor when I wanted to use it. The other thing I didn't like was you had to pull the fenders to put on the loader. It's a good setup if the tractor is a loader tractor and you have a another tractor for the main tractor. Our loader tractor now is a 630 with a JD 35 loader on it. The fenders can be on all the time. Even though the rear blade is also on that tractor 95% of the time, we do use it to rake hay with the loader on.

Mike,

As you pointed out, the big drawback to this loader is tying up the PTO. I have heard there is an extension available that would allow you to keep the loader attached and add other implements to it. Have you heard of any such device? Or any ideas on building one? Now when I need to bush hog I pull the pump off the PTO and chain it to the back of the tractor.

you could get an F-11 with either high or low pressure cylinders. If you have high pressure cylinders you can run directly off of tractor hyd. and leave pto alone. You can run low pressure cylinders on tractor but you will get good at changing out packings. Our first f-11 came new with a Prince pump.

I see by the sales lit that FARMHAND offered at a later date a pump that had a PTO extention right throught the pump. But thats all I know about it. I can't recall just now who made those pumps for FARMHAND. Maybe something could be had through parts from FARMHAND of the co that made those pumps.

The brackets exist. I have one mounted on 4020 diesel right now. You might have to go to dealer or find one to copy wouldn't be hard. You will have a good combo when you get it together but it will be a little hard to see around fuel tank. Tractor is still almost too long even with right brackets. 3010 or 3020 weighted real heavy is actually a little more handy to use.

Justin,

I can't speak on the brackets, but I do have an F11 on a JD 2510 and it makes a great outfit. The F11 is a little too much loader for my 2510, it should be a great fit on your 4020.

I have a JD #47 loader(the manual says it was built for the 2510) with a 60" bucket that sits in homemade mounts on an Oliver 1650D that I bought. It works real good, but it is really a little small for the tractor. I'd like to sell it and buy a little bigger loader some day. I imagine I'd have to find JD mounts for it before anyone would pay much for it. Any opinions or offers?
