Hello jr55;

You should consider acquiring manuals for your tractor. Shoot me an e-mail and I will help you source them. (PatB)

If by some chance you destroy the axle housing, I have a left and a right bare housing. Mark

I recently took apart a frozen brake from my B. That pedal shaft was pretty screwed up by the time I got it out. I asked the parts guy at the local Deere joint if those shafts were still available and how much they cost, he said "Yes, they're two and a quarter." I said "Two dollars and twenty-five cents?" He said "No...." So the moral of the story is heed Clooney's advice and be as careful as possible with those parts. My story has a happy ending--I got a pedal shaft for my B free from a salvage guy.

jr55, yes they both come out, BUT!!!,, you have to remove the axle housings & pull those pesky brake drums from the axles then both go to the inside to come out.. The brake pedal shaft will come out after removing the brake pedal on the outside.. & the adjuster will screw into the inside & come out (but its probably rusted tight & will need heat & penetrating oil to move).. Those adjusters do break off easily so use lots of heat & lots of caution..
