According to the manual when setting the lag angle on Wico mags you move the index mark off center one way or the other according to which way the mag rotates.(CW or CCW) My question is: Is the rotation determined from the drive end or oposite drive end?
Thanks Much,
John

Other John in Indiana, if youre looking at the mags rear drive coupler mechanism (i.e. its off and your looking into the rear side of it) rotation CCW increases the lag angle, while CW retards it. On many C and X (and it depends some on the cup and the drive pawls wear etc.) the straight up mark represents 12 1/2 degrees of advance and each mark equals 5 degrees. Therefore, to set her to run 25 degrees of run time advance over the static start timing (i.e. 25 degree lag angle) loosen the screws and rotate her over 2 1/2 marks to the left for a total of 12 1/2 (straight up) plus 12 1/2 (2 1/2 marks to left CCW) = 25 degres which is where I set mine.
