Can anyone out there give me the thickness of new linings on the brake plates on the 5020/6030 ? There is a shop not far from me that can do them but need to know the spec. Thanks again,
Chris.

If they aren't loose and don't have burn/hot, discolored/flaking away spots don't worry about them. chris

It would be pretty foolish to no reline them when you're right there. I've yet to see any way to accurately estimate when they're going to start coming apart.

What spec do they need to know? All you do is remove the old linings and rivet on the new ones. An old foot-operated brake rivet press will do the job just fine. The linings should be metal-backed, so you don't have to worry about cracking them. Chisel the old linings off, knock the pistons out of the backing plates, knock out the old rivets and you're ready to install the new linings. When they're on, press the pistons back into the plates.
