Does John Deere maintain parts for older tractors or is there someone out there that has a good OEM parts supply? I am needing a few small items for my 435 Diesel; such as a shift handle, knob for the touch-o-matic lever, throttle handle knob and the correct fasteners for the hood. I have the stock part numbers from the parts book, but haven't been to the dealer yet to see what they offer since it's a pretty good drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Al.

Al, Most of the non engine parts on the 435 are the same as on the JD 420 and 430 tractors. The JD dealers have a lot of parts for these. Most (if not all) of the parts you listed are the same as the 420/430. Detroit Diesel still has parts for the engines. Replacement sheet metal and such is available from the salvage yard but it"s pretty expensive.

If you have the part numbers, post them, and someone can look them up on JDPARTS, and see if they are good numbers.

For more thorough information, just CALL the dealership with the part numbers!
