I know a guy in town who used to own the local Deere dealership back in the sixties. He went out of business in the early seventies, and he has had trailer after trailer after trailer of NOS deere parts since then. There are lots of tractor, combine and implement parts. He has a whole bus full of brand new plow parts, he just has them in the bus in a way that they are inaccessible. Also, he has an old deere H, B and some other tractors that have good components except for tin. He is getting someone to come and take all the trailers away to a scrap yard, and it's a shame to have all those brand new original parts sent to the furnace...

If anyone is interested in helping him get rid of those NOS parts, contact me and I'll give you his phone number.

The mans near 80 years old!
He has been slowly taking parts out of those trailers, but he has to have other people come in and climb around in his trailers to get anything.
If he wasn't so old and could cobble together a decent crew to pick through the parts and put them back in order, he'd be in big business.

Would this gentleman have any 2520 or 2510 sheet metal parts, especially the hoods or front and rear side panels? If you believe he might I would appreciate his phone number or e-mail address. Paul2510

If your buddy was a Deere dealer, he is probably already aware of this outfit, but I'll post it anyway.

Located in Centreville, MD on the Esatern Shore.

I unhid my email, email me and I'll give you his # if you havent already asked for it.

We had an AC 190XT in there over the summer, and it wouldn't even nudge the bus full of plow parts. I'd say there's more than 5 or 6 tons of shares, moldboards, coulters etc. in there.

John Emory is his name and he goes to tractor shows all over the East Coast. He has the biggest library of origianl john deere literature I have ever seen and heard of. He knows how much the stuff he has is worth, too.

Apparently not if he is going to haul it to the scrap yard. They don't pay that well even with the high steel prices.

The fellow maybe unaware of tractor collecting or maybe his mind has been dimmed with time. The value of those parts could be in the hundreds of thousands. Kind of sounds like the common where Grandpa promises to sell his old tractor to his grandson or nephew. Then later when the youngster is visiting they notice the tractor is gone. When asked Grandpa doesnt remember anything except he sold that useless old C, GP or 330 for scrap.

Here's one that I might kick myself for later. Another guy posted looking for a 1010 above. Called home and got him a number to try of one advertised. For about two months now has been a 4020 advertised in Peoples Peddler for $1,400 that says about 200 hours on rebuild. Obvious misprint, so I haven't bothered calling. Seems a trashed one can't be touched for under $6,000. Obvious misprint of $14,000. Funny thing, same misprint is at least two months old. Would figure the owner would've called and had corrected by now, right? What if is for sale by someone that has no clue what one's worth and is really asking $1,400? And everyone like me knows it's a misprint, and it aint? Perhaps a widow? Perhaps a bitter divorce? Should've asked for that number tonight and called to prove myself right, for my own peace of mind. If I find out that someone calls and finds out it aint a misprint, I'm gonna climb the highest tree I can find and jump head first into the ground for being stupid. Ha Ha Ha Ha. Gotta be a misprint, a getting old misprint.

Mark.

Tell everyone where the parts are located so that people that are close can possibly get these. What section of the country.
