My rim is rusted thru where the clamp rests on it, & has punctured the tube. Are these early rims easy to find or difficult to find. I'm just wondering if this is a rare item or not. If it is, maybe I should be looking into some wire feed welding to repair mine. Thanks for your help.

There are three removeable clamps that bolt this rim to it's wheel. I've seen the later ones which have a piece permanantly fastened to the rim that the bolt goes thru. To answer you question, each of the three clamps rests on the most inner side of the rim.
