The bottom or floor of the tool box on my '39 early-styled B is diamond-shaped flat wire mesh.

Is that material available from any vendors?

A few of the wires are broken on my tool box. It may be possible to repair those spots but if the wire mesh is available, it might be easier to replace it.

If what you are talking about is what I think you're talking about, It is called expanded metal. And yes it is available anywhere steel products are sold. Even some weld shops may have small scraps available
